DESCRIPTION:Facilitators: Samantha Chang\, Faculty Liaison Coordinator\, Teaching\, Learning & Technology\, CTSI Michal Kasprzak\, Assistant Director\, CTSI/TATPThe Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines “offer a set of concrete suggestions that can be applied to any discipline or domain to ensure that all learners can access and participate in meaningful\, challenging learning opportunities” (CAST). CAST\, a nonprofit education research and development organization\, created the UDL framework and guidelines and launched UDL Guidelines 3.0 (https://udlguidelines.cast.org/) in July 2024. UDL 3.0 addresses various gaps from previous iterations of the guidelines and highlights the role of identity\, creativity\, belonging\, and interdependence in learning.Join CTSI in unveiling the UDL guidelines 3.0 and considerations for implementing UDL and unlocking inclusive learning in higher education. In the current phase of the QDI pilot\, the tool features data from all courses between September 2022 and August 2024.Join our upcoming workshop to examine how Quercus Data Insights can be used to better organize your courses and motivate your students by exploring past student activity. Using inquiry questions contributed by instructors\, workshop participants will engage in a guided interactive activity\, using the dashboard to explore real use cases.
