SUMMARY:Continuing the Work of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
DESCRIPTION:Following her incredibly powerful and extremely well-received closing plenary at the 2023 Teaching and Learning Symposium\, we are fortunate to be able to welcome back to U ofT keynote speaker Andratesha Friztgerald for a deeper dive into re-designing learning experiences using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. Building on her keynote presentation “Power and Empowerment: Honouring by Decision and Design\,” which examined notions of power and empowerment and how they influence our pedagogical decisions\, designs and outcomes\, participants in this follow-up webinar will explore a shared understanding of the UDL framework and begin to apply UDL approaches to the design of flexible and responsive curricula and courses. Facilitator: Andratesha Fritzgerald\, Strategic Partner – Building Blocks of Brilliance   \nUniversal Design for Learning requires both art and science for implementation.  Join us for a workshop that combines presentation and exploration to begin building universally designed products for student learning.  Note: attendance at TLS2023 is not required. Everyone is welcome to register.
