Topics covered will include: • Preparing for the start of the term • Engaging students during the first week • Presenting and leveraging the syllabus effectively • Motivating students and setting clear expectations • Sustaining excitement and interest in your discipline Participants will develop a personalized plan for their first class and receive a worksheet to guide their preparation. Group activities will foster idea-sharing and collaborative development of strategies to ensure a positive and successful start to the academic year.
