SUMMARY:Unveiling the New Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Guidelines 3.0: Unlocking Inclusive Learning
DESCRIPTION:Facilitators: Samantha Chang\, Faculty Liaison Coordinator\, Teaching\, Learning & Technology\, CTSI Michal Kasprzak\, Assistant Director\, CTSI/TATPThe Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines “offer a set of concrete suggestions that can be applied to any discipline or domain to ensure that all learners can access and participate in meaningful\, challenging learning opportunities” (CAST). CAST\, a nonprofit education research and development organization\, created the UDL framework and guidelines and launched UDL Guidelines 3.0 (https://udlguidelines.cast.org/) in July 2024. UDL 3.0 addresses various gaps from previous iterations of the guidelines and highlights the role of identity\, creativity\, belonging\, and interdependence in learning.Join CTSI in unveiling the UDL guidelines 3.0 and considerations for implementing UDL and unlocking inclusive learning in higher education.
