SUMMARY:Monitor-Side Chats: Explore proposed updates to UDL Guidelines 3.0
DESCRIPTION:Universal Design for Learning (UDL) (https://udlguidelines.cast.org/) is a framework for minimizing barriers and fostering purposeful\, motivated\, resourceful\, knowledgeable\, strategic\, and goal-oriented learners. UDL offers various guidelines for providing multiple means of engagement\, representation\, and action and expression. UDL is an iterative and reflective process and CTSI is here to help! \nJoin CTSI staff and U of T instructors on April 12 for an informal monitor-side (in-person and online) chat about the proposed updates for UDL Guidelines 3.0. In preparation for the chat\, review the Summary of Proposed Updates (https://www.cast.org/impact/summary-of-proposed-updates-for-udl-guidelines-3.0) and the Graphic Organizer Draft (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nIh1b4c2i9a95g6zPjmQOXfIjwTbGuEFgljAimM0jfw/edit?usp=sharing).New to UDL? Watch the 5-minute “UDL at a Glance” video (https://youtu.be/bDvKnY0g6e4?si=jhwJwVPc_QVbBqgK) created by CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology). This monitor-side chat is a bonus session of the nine-session series (https://teaching.utoronto.ca/monitor-side-chats-udl-ing-in-winter-2024/) occurring weekly on Fridays between January 26 and March 22. Chat soon!
