Join the Academic, Research & Collaborative Technologies team (ARC) for a hands-on information session to explore Cogniti, a generative AI platform that the University of Toronto is piloting as part of the next phase of the Virtual Tutor Initiative. Instructors will discover how Cogniti enables the authoring of generative AI virtual tutors tailored for students to engage with course content and facilitate their learning. Cogniti also incorporates key educational features designed for instructors to gain insight into students’ engagement with the platform. We'll demonstrate the platform's capabilities, highlight the process to author virtual tutors, and show how Cogniti integrates seamlessly with Quercus to fit into your existing course workflow. Cogniti is easy to use, accessible, and practical for instructors across all disciplines. Whether you're curious about AI in education or interested in piloting AI virtual tutors in your courses, this session will provide the foundation you need to get started.
